Painting Commissions


The following process is in place if you are interested in having an original painting done by Michael McChesney. The subject, scope and scale of the painting will be determined together. Once these factors of the project have been defined, the estimated cost of the painting will be given.

Once the final cost of the commission is determined, a 50 % deposit is required to begin work. The deposit covers time and materials in executing the painting. If you want a special frame, you will need to make arrangements for that frame; either with the artist or a framer of your choice. If you choose to reject the final painting, the deposit will be forfeited.

THE DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE AND THE ARTIST RETAINS THE PAINTING.

Shipping and packaging charges are additional. You will need to provide the location to which the painting is to be shipped.

Final payment is due prior to delivery.

All copy rights for the reproduction of the completed painting, are held by the artist.

Once the original painting is completed, prints on archival paper or digital prints on canvas, postcards, note cards, or images on tiles can be ordered through the artist.
